Members/friends/partners previous social outings: From time to time members and their partners and/or friends gather for a fun evening. We had one on the first weekend of September at Cullen Bay. The June Darwin Bowls Club visit was very successful and enjoyed by all.
Outings around and outside Darwin will be advised during the year. Some activities included a visit to Burnett House for Devonshire Tea, CareFlight at the Darwin Airport (a very informative visit), BumbleBean Chocolates (quite an interesting experience on creating chocolates). In the Dry Season Australia's Biggest Morning Tea for the Cancer Council is held outdoors at times. One time was at the beautiful Berry Springs Nature Park. A car rally in the dry season for members and their partners and friends was very successful. It was very interesting driving through the countryside looking for a answers to a quiz. We found out our answers when we arrived at the lunch venue, at Purple Mango Cafe, Stephen Road, Marrakai.
